(7,447 posts)but I in no way think that's an inevitability.

(15,957 posts)definitely the most likely scenario of all of them. Payback for Greene. Ridiculous reason but they will.

(7,447 posts)certainly possible, but also not inevitable.
Either Roe and to a lesser extent mass shootings drive out a blue wave, or we lose thanks to the economy, which isn't going to get fixed by November.
It's basically in our hands...if we can drive out turnout based on those two things, we can win. If too many of us sit home, we lose.

(549 posts)It's exactly what I fear. Exactly.
Man, I hate the media term "battleground state" - with a passion. -How much you want to bet the Kochs never set foot in Wisconsin?

(3,581 posts)"How did you go bankrupt?" Bill asked.
"Two ways," Mike said. "Gradually and then suddenly."
If we change Bill's question to "How did America become fascist?", Mike's answer still applies because we're now in the "suddenly" part.
I think the Democrats, leadership and grassroots, better have a plan for when Republican state legislatures invalidate Democratic victories. Because if and when Democratic voters rise up in protest, you can bet your bippy that those Republicans will also have laws at the ready that consider those marches to be illegal and its participants as criminals or insurrectionists. Again, the "suddenly" part.
By all means, get out the vote. But we need to be prepared for it to not count.
