I went off on a good rant in the post about the CO Sec of State saying they will not cooperate with Red State demands of Extradition for women getting abortions out of state. I was glad to see the pushback but it needs to be more forceful and targeted. She was saying that “Women have rights over their own body’. I say that it is well beyond that.

You cannot dictate what a person does in another state. That is utter BS!!

All elected Democrats must come out much more forcefully and make it clear that a lot of the threats from Red State GOP’s are illegal and unconstitutional.

during the pandemic. No one anywhere is safe from their cruelty. I had an exasperating conversation with a relative this morning. This person is unaware of the danger we are all in. I was explaining, even if you are against abortion, it still affects you. Imagine as a husband, something goes wrong with your very much wanted pregnancy. You take her to the ER and you are told, that the fetus probably won’t survive, and your wife’s life may be in danger but we can’t do anything now. Go home and come back 3 days from now when she’s septic.

Or your wife is raped and you are forced to raise the rapist’s child.

Or your wife not getting chemo or radiation for cancer because she is not allowed to terminate the pregnancy.

There will be untold damage to families on a whole. The maternal mortality rate will skyrocket. Families torn apart. Often this is not a first pregnancy. Children will lose their mothers.

Yesterday I read about a woman who got devastating news about a fetal anomaly. The doctor could not even talk to her about what her options are. This changes the dynamic of the doctor/patient relationship.

Every few days about it. Driving husband crazy but he knows to keep quiet after a few dumb remarks.

I am concerned for my grandkids and their kids. My granddaughter at 23 votes, my grandson does not.
