National Geographic 3 episode series on the Greeks has a great segment on Democracy

I wish there was a way to post where everyone could view the second episode where they cover the rise of democracy.
The show features Nied Degrasse Tyson, and I know that the views expressed were meant to convey this message, but they made some great points that we in the US have forgotten.
One of the key things was taking power AWAY from the wealth and inherited power.
It was a movement of the common people.
It required a revolution. Which we had, but since then we've given back the power step by step due to the relentless incremental theft by the wealthy.
