1. BS - at some point there will be a diplomatic settlement. Defense is not a path to victory.

2. "Diplomatic settlement" is a euphemism for selling out the Ukrainians to Putin.

That's not a "peace" position.

No thanks!

the Ukrainians are vastly outnumbered regardless of their bravery and skills. If this were to go on for years the entire country would resemble Syria. I think it will end up similar to what happened to Finland in the Winter War of 1940. The only other alternative would be a NATO involvement and I do not want to speculate what that might entail.

I hope I'm wrong - war sucks and there are no winners.....ever.

... the one outnumbered and now their munitions is being eaten up by the day to a notable degree.

Rus is using s-300s for ground attacks now because they don't have any more precision munitions en masse to throw in the fight.

I don't see Russia having another 12 months of fight in them

4. Based on "Defense is not a path to victory", does that mean that offense is that path?

Are you saying that diplomacy is the only path. I don't agree and have been aware of diplomatic efforts since the 1960s.

When you suggest that an aggressor such as Russia can engage in a purely offensive action and that the only "path to victory" is diplomacy with that agressor, you are encouraging future aggressions and necessary appeasements/diplomacy.

rejects Putin then there is little hope for the Ukrainian Army to stop the Russian aggression. Their only cost now is soldiers and arms and in almost every case throughout history that is considered a "cost of war"..

So NO - I do not think that the Ukrainian Army can defeat Russia simply based on attrition. I hope I am wrong.

... draft the US implemented during Iraq2.

Of course Ukr is losing troops to but Ukr is fully mobilized while Russia is not ... Russia loses.

Putler doesn't have another 12 months of fight in him while Ukr is gearing up for 2 - 3 years at current rate.
