But I’d stop a little short of deification…

Abe was a staunch conservative whom political commentators had described as a right-wing Japanese nationalist.[5][6][7][8][9] Associated with the Nippon Kaigi,[10] he held negationist views on Japanese history,[11][12][13] including denying the role of government coercion in the recruitment of comfort women during World War II,[14] a position which caused tensions particularly with South Korea.[15][16]Abe argued that settlements concerning Japan's treatment of colonial Korea was previously resolved in the 1965 treaty he said it was Korea that violated the treaty and it should be carried out in accordance with international law.

to trump's low brow tastes to schmooze the difficult character that he is.

What a loss. And an ironic one as Japan has strict gun control laws and barely any gun deaths yearly.

and other atrocities) because Shinto Great Japanese Empire or whatever. More 19th century than 21st. Reduce corporate taxes and regulations, let regular people pay the taxes. Such a leader... Same as an American right-wing Republican.

I always wondered just who was going to make up his vision of Japan's big new war machine military. Certainly not young people. Ridiculous.
