Those commercials aren't free.

(76,704 posts)Lindell's company is barely afloat.
And, he was never a tycoon. His fake claims of a net worth were off by at least a facfor of 10, and 80%+ of his actual NW was tied up in his modest company, the value of which has plummeted.
The company already had a debt:equity of nearly 5. With equity value dropping & revenues down, debt has risen. The ratio is likely approaching 8, so no more borrowing.
Somebody other than crackhead Mikey is paying for this.

(40,690 posts)These are interesting times as traditional broadcast, cable, and satellite television evaporates. It's reflected in the advertising.
My wife and I "cut the cord" a long time ago, and broadcast television too. The only streaming service we've subscribed to consistently is Netflix.
Among my children, nephews, and nieces it's as if traditional television and radio never existed. I don't think they can imagine my childhood when entire families and their neighbors sat down in front of the television every evening to simultaneously watch the same shows.
I can go through this list of 'sixties television shows and tell you exactly which ones my mom disliked:

If she didn't watch them nobody in the house watched them.
My dad watched Walter Cronkite.
We'd go without television at times as well. My dad bought one of the earlier color televisions on his Sears credit card and it wasn't a reliable beast. It had a 21 inch picture tube that was nearly circular. During times my parents couldn't afford to repair it, which sometimes lasted months, we did without.
