seems like, in addition to Bannon, this info is not good for Bannons (former) attorneyJUST IN: DOJ says it interviewed Donald Trumps attorney Justin Clark on June 29! The department says Clark confirmed Trump never invoked executive privilege over anything specific to Bannon.
All of the above-described circumstances suggest the Defendants sudden wish to testify is not a genuine effort to meet his obligations but a last-ditch attempt to avoid accountability.

(8,849 posts)executive privilege he never had... it's possible Pond Scum Bannon may have assumed he had executive privilege but his lawyer, Costello ("who's on first?"
did know Bannon's claim (again in writing) was bullshit..this should be interesting

(37,848 posts)The other game he had going was probably some insistence that TFG had granted him a so-called blanket pardon. The prosecution may be saying, Nuh, uh! Those dont exist. The pardon was for the very specific case of the build-the-wall caper.
TFG not yet wanting to expend the blanket pardon myth on Bannon and wanting to reserve that ploy for those he cares the most about. (namely, himself) Has cut Bannon loose.
Then theres the often cited desire to insert bullshit into the JanG hearings. Why not both?
