Calling the Latino community "unique as the breakfast tacos" is speech writing malpractice

How does this make it into prepared remarks? I see no nefarious intent but an error like this is inexcusable, imo.

If I read that as part of a speech to Latinos, I would have said, "No way in hell am I going to say that. Take it out".

After seeing more of the context of the speech, I changed my mind. There doesn't seem to be anything inherently offensive about acknowledging something specifically unique about a community of Latinos.

If Jill Biden were in East Los Angeles, she might have mentioned the murals, or the lowrider vehicles, which are a unique part of LA Latino culture.
