There are so many:
The fact that there was a "secret" plan to march to the Capitol, except that it wasn't secret, implying coordination and planning between the White House and the seditionists.
The witness tampering.
The pre-planning since December 2020.
The unhinged 6-hour screaming fight where he tried to make Sidney Powell Special Counsel.
The fact that as soon as he called the seditionists off, they left, implying that he could have called them off way earlier but didn't.
The admission that the insurrectionists were taking orders from him.
What was most striking to you?

(6,120 posts)A lot of details and corroboration, but already knew a lot from all the reporting that has been discussed on DU. The witness tampering was a surprise.

The next hearing will be explosive, I think. It's going to blow Trump out of the water.

(5,851 posts)I think what they'll do is present a timeline and show us photos of certain events, like cops getting crushed in doors juxtaposed with the orange fuck grinning with glee juxtaposed with lawmakers running for their lives. Remember that we still haven't heard from the WH photographer or seen his work from that day. Pictures are important to set something in concrete in people's minds. I still can mentally see the picture Ms. Hutchinson took of Meadows escorting Ghouliani out of the WH after the shitstorm 6-hour meeting - so that he wouldn't make his way back in.
They'll probably lay the groundwork first, like showing testimony of all of the people telling him to call the mob off, but I expect they will leave us with one of their really great video montages.
Now we know how bad it was, we know congresspeople really were literally running for their lives. The seditious fucks knew about the tunnels and had made plans to be stationed near them ... it's incredible congresspeople weren't murdered. Thanks to their smart staff who got them to safety. I think a lot of people downplay the insurrection because congresspeople weren't murdered. "Only" cops died. And one seditious fuck who was climbing through a windowed door to get to congresspeople.
And we still need to talk about the seditious congresspeople who were part of the insurrection. I suspect next week's hearing isn't the last.

(22,048 posts)Modern digital cameras have meta-data that assigns to each photograph. It includes date and time stamps. If the photographer was with Trump during the insurrection, his pictures could contribute to establishing a time line of Trump's activities during the riot.
The walls are closing in on Trump.
With yesterday's testimony by one of the seditious fucks saying as soon as the orange fuck told them to go home, they did, and that they would have gone home sooner if he had told them so, I expect next week's testimony to be damning.
