My theory: Mark Meadows is the secret witness Trump contacted

These hearings feel like a tv show and I’m starting to come up with my own fan theories.

My guess is that the mystery witness we haven’t heard from yet and who Trump tried to contact was Mark Meadows. A bit hard to believe but there were two articles I read today that make me think it’s at least possible. First, there’s the revelation that the January 6th Committee has been looking into his finances for some time. Second, Trump and his legal team reportedly think Meadows is “going down” and they are trying to push him as the fall guy.

If Meadows has recently agreed to cooperate and Trump knows that and has been calling, that could explain the seriousness of his “witness tampering”, as they put it.

You have to admit that would be a pretty good twist for the final hearing.

They made sure to note that some people left the meeting to escort people out but a few were there for longer. Maybe Trump, Flynn, and the….Overstock.com CEO talked about using right wing terrorists groups to stay in power?

7. I like the way that the committee has been producing these hearings.

This is the second time that people are speculating on the mystery witness. It's like tv show
that leaves you in suspense. I believe that they hired a guy to help set up the staging and order of the
different hearings. But the mystery witness is a great draw, planned or not.

That would be great if he is the witness. Meadows knows his position is very tenuous, and dump, et al will absolutely throw him under the bus. I like the way these committee mtgs are going slow and methodical but not to slow - just like a docuseries.

It has to be someone so important that a mere unanswered phone call by TFG, is "evidence" of tampering.

Someone he doesn't call regularly, or not at all, as in "I'm not going to be your friend"

ADDED: AND somebody that nobody outside the committee knows is going to testify, EXCEPT via a mole or a leak, perhaps intentional!!
