JD Vance changes course on Social Security and Medicare

Ohio Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance appears to be switching gears on his stance regarding cuts to major reforms for Medicare and Social Security.

Speaking to HuffPost via email, the "Hillbilly Elegy" author, who recently clinched Ohio's Republican Senate nomination, has confirmed that no longer supports the idea of imposing cuts for either of the government programs. He also weighed in with his take on the possibility of privatizing those same programs.

“I don’t support cuts to social security or Medicare and think privatizing social security is a bad idea,” Vance wrote in the email. The Senate hopeful's latest remarks are a complete shift in comparison to his previous remarks.

In a blog post written back in 2010, Vance, according to HuffPost, "argued that Social Security and Medicare were among the biggest drivers of large federal budget deficits, but that neither Democrats nor Republicans had the political will to enact deep cuts to either federal entitlement program."

Ignore him when he actually vote against them when he gets in office. At least, that's what he wants you to do to get himself into office.

and Mitch McConnell is the king of two-faced Rethug assholes......

We learned that the first year he got elected just from the lies in his campaign brochures sent to us unsolicited.

SS and Medicare should be a matter of pride for all American politicians and should never be a political pawn used by any of them.

Republicans simply do not care about our people.......

With manchin and sinema they can block things, losing 2 or more Seats and they are out. Of course, they want to cut and grift off of SS and Medicare and anything else they can get their hands on - money, power, control.

If Vance has flipped on Rick Scott's plan for Medicare and SS, it's because it isn't polling well. Particularly with seniors.

Here's another one on Vance. He proudly declared he didn't give a damn about Ukraine and questioned the outlaying of US funds for weaponry and ammunition.

"Protect American borders, he said. "Not Ukraine's."

Only he failed to take Ukrainian Americans into consideration, a large contingent of whom live in Ohio, amounting to about 80,000 people/votes. Generally conservative, the Ukrainian community did not take kindly to Vance's remarks and pushed back immediately.

What does Vance do? He attempts to backpedal. One day he's calling out the 'performative affection for Ukraine,' the next he's referring to the war as a tragedy blaming political elites for botched policy. Not Trump, of course, who's love affair for all things Putin is legendary.

The man's a snake in human form which is why The Former Guy and Peter Thiel support his ass.
