(17,740 posts)happened many years ago to a friend of my parents. He went out on back porch and started down some steps, fell and hit his head and died. Think he was in his late 70s or early 80s.

(34,914 posts)And, at her age, it can only take one of the above to send her tumbling. It doesn't even have to be a spiral staircase. Just a regular, old straight one is sufficient. Hell, at any age, any one of those things could cause a fall.

We should be better than that.
Clearly we have elements that want to believe the worst without any evidence
The least we can do is police ourselves and call them out for the bullshit. Thanks for leading the effort.

(27,835 posts)... when it's proven that JFK Jr. came back from the dead and murdered Ivana because she didn't want him to be Trump's VP in 2024, and a search of her apartment turns up all those missing ballots that prove Trump won by a landslide in 2020 - all neatly stuffed into her collection of Mike Lindell pillows.

Honestly, it's sad to see some people getting dangerously close to Sydney Powell/Rudy Giuliani CT territory. I'm waiting for Ivana's possession of Hunter Biden's laptop to get thrown into the mix.

(302 posts)Ivana Trump was found unconscious and unresponsive at the bottom of a set of stairs in her apartment, according to police sources. The police are investigating whether she fell and (if so) whether the fall contributed in any way to her death, the sources said.
Police also found a bump on her head that 'seemed-to-match' the dent in a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden near the top of the stairs. A medical examiner will determine her cause of death, police said.

Very different type from those who lack it. Would never occur to most that an unimportant 73-YO woman who received her divorce settlement a few decades ago might be murdered by tRump to create an excuse for rescheduling his deposition, but...hey! Clueless brigade meet tinfoil brigade.

You dont agree, or even like, what someone wrote, fine! State why.
Who thought Trump would try to incapacitate Pence long enough to delay the electoral vote count long enough for Grassley to step in and toss the presidential election to the state legislatures? Im not getting in that car.
Theirs was a multi-branch, multi-agency, lots of Republicans conspiracy the likes of which the people of United States had never seen, but John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark and MF45 were too dumb to pull off.
Thank Elvis for DUers and all the rest of the citizenry online, offline, in government and out, from across the US who resisted. They werent afraid of talking about a conspiracy. Their weapon? The truth. It stopped a seditious conspiracy of traitors plotting to overturn an election and overthrow the Constitution.

(35,075 posts)Remember how 2 years ago it was "stupid" to say that covid-19 came about from a lab accident? Now various agencies, including WHO, are doubling back to further investigate that angle.
Several years ago, it was "stupid" to suggest that tfg was going to try to install himself as president for life. And that was exactly what he tried to do, and he was willing to kill pence in order to do it. Is it stupid to say that as well?
Also, UFO discussions were stupid as well.
The problem is, many people conflate "stupid" with topics that make them uncomfortable to think about.

(130,532 posts)Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Or an older woman falls down the stairs by accident.* For all of TFG's multitude of crimes, sins and transgressions, the most unlikely would be the murder of a woman from whom he was divorced some 30 years ago after producing three awful children - for the purpose of postponing a deposition by a few days? Come on, people. Don't make DU look like Q.
*I'm old, and every time I start down my stairs I wonder if this is the time they'll finally get me, and I'll fall to my death and my cat will eat me before anybody finds what's left of me.

(27,633 posts)some of the catty comments about her in this post are beneath the usually high standards of DU.
Regardless of her relationship she was a human being, who other than being in the Trump storyline, as far as I'm aware never committed any nefarious or heinous acts against anyone.
She was a 73 year old (not entirely ancient by today standards) with children and grandchildren. Yes I know, her children are despicable. She stayed pretty much out of the Trump spotlight after her divorce in 1992.

Why we have this rule: Democrats are supposed to be part of the "reality-based community." Some amount of skepticism toward powerful institutions is healthy and appropriate, but that doesn't mean every paranoid fantasy is true. Posts about mass shootings being "false flag" operations, 9/11 being a controlled demolition, no airplane at the Pentagon, chemtrails, black helicopters, the Illuminati, or other nonsense make us all look like fools. This website may have the word "underground" in our name, but we are not extreme fringe."

(35,075 posts)By definition, he's a psychopath, so it's not something I could rule out like others have. He is capable of anything because he has no conscience, empathy nor any type of moral compass.
Those who have completely ruled out tfg's involvement still don't seem to understand who we are dealing with. You're bringing in irrelevant examples about how people can fall down the steps. Obviously that's true, but you're missing the point and still failing to understand just how dangerous and depraved tfg is.
His hearing has been delayed for just a few days, that is true, but if something else happens during those few days that stops the case entirely, maybe then that will shed more light on the situation.
That said, I'm not out here saying and thinking that he killed her. Honestly, I think it's unlikely... for now. But I'm pushing back on this OP because the suggestion that tfg was involved in Ivana's death is not stupid if you've been paying attention and if you understand how dangerous tfg is. He tried to have all of Congress killed just last year.
