are crashing and burning at The Open.
Dustin Johnson is the best of the leeches willing to attach themselves to the Saudi cash, and he's sinking like a rock.
What a pity.
(For those unaware, the Bone Saw Tour is my name for the Saudi-sponsored effort at sports-washing that they call the LIV tour.)

(29,711 posts)LIV Golf has its eyes on a basketball Hall of Famer for their next addition to the broadcast lineup.
Charles Barkley, an 11-time All-Star in the NBA and current analyst for TNT, recently said on the Pat McAfee Show in regards to PGA Tour players taking LIV Golf money that, If somebody gave me $200 million Id kill a relative.
Well, that apparently caught the eye of the Greg Norman-led and Saudi Arabia-funded series. During a Thursday interview on The Next Round, Barkley said hes going to meet with LIV Golf.
They called me and asked me Would I meet with them? And I said, Yes, Barkley explained. Nothing thats imminent, I actually dont know everything they want from me, or what they technically want me to do, but youve got to always look at every opportunity thats available. So the answer to your question is, 100 percent yes, Im going to meet with LIV.

Fuck em.
I like McIlroy better anyway. Even Tiger looks better, (but not this week!).

(53,876 posts)the PGA Tour golf which plays 72 holes and has a cut after 36 holes, which means only the top players continue on in the tournament.
The PGA is big boy golf.

(65,203 posts)About 75% vote republican, but not necessarily TFG supporters.
The tour is loaded with Randite libertarians because most of those country club brats think their hours on the range mean they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps.
They're economic hyperconservatives, but many are not on the wrong side of social issues. Stupid, but not frothing crazy.
Most of them couldn't finish a TV Guide crossword puzzle.
As to Rory, he's spoken up on issues that make me think he's not one of the 75%.

(65,203 posts)I'm thinking there's appearance fees involved.
Those pros play with better amateurs than TFG nearly every Wednesday at the ProAm round.
I'd think it insufferable for them to play with a cheating hack like him.
I SLIGHTLY buy the "president of the US invited me to play" excuse. Playing with him before 2016 or since January 2021 is inexcusable.

(2,113 posts)I'd love nothing more than to see LIV crash and burn. Unfortunately, however, Saudi money means it can probably go on indefinitely. I don't really understand why anyone would be interested in watching exhibition golf vs actual competition golf but, whatever.
That's alright, the good ones are still with the PGA. Rory McIlroy, one of my favorite players, is turning out to be a GREAT ambassador for the PGA.
