Active Shooter is not a term conservatives would use unless it fit their agenda.
If someone with a turban held the gun, they would say terrorist even before the gun was shot. Please, as a default, call them an armed mass murderer and always ask, why they were allowed to carry a gun? Yes we know the answer, ask it anyway.
If the mass murderer has a manifesto, hate screed, or association with a radical group, call him a terrorist because that is exactly what conservatives will do if it fits their agenda. If the mass murderer is MAGA, then he is a MAGA Terrorist. If he is a Proud Boy, call him a Proud Boy terrorist. Make the name terrorist stick if you can and tie it to the group. Then ask why no one reported that this group was encouraging terrorism? If it was reported, ask why this wasn't stopped? Yes, we still know the answers, but please ask anyway. Make them answer.
As far as what the issue is, it is the mass distribution of military weapons. They may say doors, or training or any number of stupid things but the logic of the situation is simple.
Unless you know otherwise, the smart assumption is that an active shooter has an AK-47 or equivalent.
Since police are uncomfortable facing someone who may have an AK-47 that means that we cannot trust the police to protect schools or children. I don't mean the police in Podunk or that town over there, I mean, honestly, we cannot trust police to protect us from mass murderers with guns. Police have a constitutional right to decide if things are too dangerous and if a mass murderer has an AK-47, things are too dangerous.
Arming teachers means that on top of all the other burdens, the teachers are now untrained soldiers. I say soldiers since police have the right to decide if things are too dangerous. Teachers will not have a choice.
When a conservative runs for office he is going to hold a gun up to get his base to vote for him. When a conservative runs for office it is up to us to hold up the number of shootings, the number of deaths, the number of broken families. When they show a gun, we need to show what they caused and are going to continue causing.
