(25,007 posts)Covid certainly has been bad and we have been harmed by being prevented from doing more in the months and years since Covid struck, but if something worse hits us in the future, public health officials will be straightjacketed and have a harder time mobilizing an immediate and strong response and we'll really be in trouble. These people are too short-sighted to understand and appreciate this.

(25,150 posts)Imagine a contagious disease with a 5% fatality rate and with public health officials unable to stop it due to these idiot libertarians.
BTW, smallpox had a 30% fatality rate. Smallpox is now gone, thanks to the public health measures rolled back by this litigation.
