The "mental health" argument relating to guns is PURE BULLSHIT

It is not the people who get the guns so much as they CAN get guns.

Checking backgrounds for mental health issues may help a little, but how many "mentally ill" people are among the 300 plus 2022 mass shooters?

The problem is real fucking easy to define in a single loaded word.

GUNS.

Don't tell me why not. Tell me WHY?

They don't have mass shootings like us.

You can't hide it under pillow for quick access in case an intruder breaks in.
What is the purpose of owning AR-15 type assault weapons?

murder others willy nilly. My point is it is not the best weapon for self defense. Most AR-15 owners are trying to supplement their inadequacy of manhood.
I would never buy this weapon because I do not like violence in the first place and I am confident about my manhood.

body armor, and high capacity magazine and then go into a crowded place and started blowing people away is mentally ill.
I believe assault weapons and high capacity mags, a pribably even body armor should be banned. However imo mentally illness can not be separated from this issue.

Issues and red flags, a large number of them would certainly lose their gun privileges...in my dreams.

Certainly mental health is a big crisis in this country; we have the christofascists, cult's 45 and q intersecting with the militant crazies, the insurrection, and the years of covid trauma, the recent reversal of Roe, the fight for our democracy, all combine to cause mild to extreme mental health issues. This country is too crazy for guns.

Was trying to lighten the mood of your post, but I basically agree with everything you said.
