It's up to the judge. I think that there should be a stiff prison Tomconroy Jul 2022 #5
As long as he keeps paying his lawyers, the appeals will go on for years FakeNoose Jul 2022 #6

Different systems of justice. Or he'll get two weeks suspended and probation, some bullshit.

He can get up to two years in prison. Pissing off the judge, which Bannon has done, is never a good idea. The judge should give him the max for being such an asshole.

who served 11 months in a federal pen for "defying" Congress. He did not deny his subpoena. He appeared before the committee (HUAC) when summoned. He just refused to incriminate himself and others.

Compare these two. A brilliant writer and a slovenly podcaster.

Dalton Trumbo was a man of honor and his liberal politics were shared by many Americans. People who were falsely labeled "communists" back in the 50's are actually "liberal progressives" nowadays.

I'm not sure how much admiration Steve Bannon has. That old useless pardon from Chump does him no good now.

Even before running a propaganda machine, Breitbart, he took over that closed ecosystem project and wrecked it.

No comparison with Trumbo, who was an actual leftist, and brilliant: more like compare and contrast. But it's jarring to see people like Meadows get a pass while Trumbo served time.

sentence and it should be locked up upon conviction. Otherwise a Congressional subpoena is meaningless

Bannon's charges are misdemeanors but there is a big public policy reason to lock him up right away. Others, no matter their political persuasion, will stop pulling this crap.
