Honestly, the market has been bouncing up and down in large spurts for months. When was the last time a big drop was a major headline?

the Jan. 17. 2020 level. The DOW is ahead about 8%, the S&P about 18%, and the NASDAQ about 30% not counting inflation.

This is an inevitable result. It has always self-corrected in the past, and it will self-correct this time. In the meantime, anyone with dollars looking to buy things in Euros has a good time, just like American exporters looking to sell to the EU are swimming upstream—the mirror image of how it is for EU citizens when the euro gets too high against the dollar. It has been like this ever since Bretton Woods was abandoned.
