on the need to gain at least two additional Senators in November.
Just a friendly reminder - we need to be every bit as focused on maintaining our House majority, because if we lose that, the two additional Senators won't mean anything except two extra votes for confirmations.

But we can confirm justices now. The focus on getting two extra Senators to eliminate the filibuster is meaningless if we dont hold the House.
In my mind they are equally important.

(9,998 posts)It may be some time before there is a vacancy. Sure, something unexpected could cause a health issue for one of them, but I don't see any of the 6 conservative pricks willingly retiring while Joe is President.
I'm 56, and I wonder if I'll see a Democratic majority on the Court at any point in my remaining lifetime.
