By Emily Singer -July 21, 2022 12:17 PM

Democratic bill sponsor Rep. Kathy Manning said, 'The Supreme Court's decision stripping away the right to abortion has emboldened extremist attacks on women's freedoms.'

The majority of the House Republican conference voted Thursday against enshrining in law the right to obtain and use contraceptives in the United States, calling such a law an affront to religious liberty.

The bill passed by a vote of 228-195, with two Republicans voting "present." Just eight Republicans joined every Democratic House member in voting for H.R. 8373, titled the Right to Contraception Act.

The bill declares,

I said women should close their legs, and I got laughed at, because "women like sex, too." Well, of course they do. People like sex. There are many benefits to having sex, and people are not going to stop. But, p*ssy power is real, and it's time that women admitted it.

The whole idea of having to codify the right to contraception is sad, but if that's what it takes, let's do it. The only real way to prevent unwanted pregnancies is abstinence. But, if you can't do that, which is most of us, then provide another way to prevent pregnancy.

The world is crazy right now.

… as abdominal muscles have to be cut through on each side. More expensive for women, too.

Anyhow, there’s your other way of preventing pregnancy: Vasectomy.

We can call it the Bobbitt Act. Not hostile or anything, just frustrated with all that's going on.
