How is someone that attempted to kill a candidate for Governor released without bail?
Regardless of his motive (which I believe are still unknown), how is this possible?
This will only intensify the Repugs screams that the Democrats are soft on crime.

(1,843 posts)Something stinks here. Here's a guy who is running primarily on the promise of eliminating NY state's bail reform laws and he gets threatened by someone who is immediately released by those same laws. That seems almost too convenient, does it not?
Sorry, but I'm not buying any of it.

(1,459 posts)He was arrested today by the Feds.
Hopefully he wont be out on his own recognizance within a few hours this time.

(15,403 posts)He had a plastic keychain in one hand and video shows he was reaching for the mic to stop the guy from talking.
He will be up on federal charges because he did interrupt a campaign speech, but from most accounts, the candidate was in no danger of being seriously injured, unless the guy pushed him off the stage.
As usual, media wants this to be a bleeding lead.
