He suggested that all the runners, staff, corporate sponsors, et. al....
Show up and volunteer to help in some fashion. Report to the Red Cross, or FEMA, or local government officials, and pitch in for whatever time they have to give.
It sounded like on e hell of an idea to me.
And would send a POWERFUL message.
