Not if the Judge caught his broadcasts during and after the trial. He is just laughing in the Judge's face.

I think he will appeal any punishment however slight. He is a millionaire and can afford it.

An ankle monitor implies home confinement. That has no deterring effects at all. He needs to be sent to the slammer.

He is being punished solely for defying the subpoena, not his support for the coup or for his personal hygiene or ugliness, nor for his broadcasts. He should get at least 60 days in lockup; he can be sentenced concurrently for 30 days, but doesn't have to be. I don't think he will get a suspended sentence (for what?)

So, my bingo card guess is 60 days in the slammer. Unless his attorney can come up with a medical report severe enough to give him home confinement, which means nothing.

There's no guarantee that Trump will be elected in 2024.

Bannon will go to jail for 30 days or so.

He may drag out appeals if the sentence was maximum, but I don't think he's gonna get it.

He’s in a position of major influence. Surely other republicans will see how his disregard for congressional subpoenas will play out. If the judge goes easy on him, then what’s the point of congressional hearings if those being inspected can just ignore them?

during his appeal? He knows he will have to pull some jail time because of the minimum sentence. His goal will be to delay and delay during appeals. It just seems like all too often it’s assholes like this that get to buy their way out of having to go, for a long time, which is a luxury that poor defendants don’t get.

I want the judge at this sentencing to say “fuck that” and order the leg irons and lead him out for 2 years of prison. Let him appeal while he sits in a private prison jail cell while Donald Trump plays golf.
