We are not forced to rely on anyone for our messaging. We embrace all that support our message.
Why is that hard for some people to understand? Now if you want strict adherence to who can be in your club, just look at the republican party.
P.S. I can't believe I had to write this. Now back to embracing all with our message.

(28,706 posts)That could just as easily come from someone who opposes a "big tent". Support our message and you're welcome.
The question is - If someone supports 70% of our message and 30% of the republicans' message... which party should they vote for? And will they feel welcome there?

(28,706 posts)That's the point of the reply. That could easily be read as "we embrace only those who support all of our message"
