Josh Hawley is writing book on masculinity. Senator's 'Manhood' goes on sale next May.

Kansas City Star

Missouri U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley is writing a book called Manhood: The Masculine Virtues Americans Need, building off a speech he gave at a conservative conference claiming the political left is waging a war on masculinity.

“The American Founders believed that a republic depends on certain masculine virtues,” the book’s description on Amazon says. “Senator Josh Hawley thinks they were right. In a bold new book, he calls on American men to stand up and embrace their God-given responsibility as husbands, fathers, and citizens.”

His office did not respond to a request for comment. The book’s announcement comes after Hawley was mocked by the U.S. House committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which showed a video of him running out of the U.S. Senate chamber as lawmakers, reporters and staff were being evacuated.

She ran for Congress in 1984 and had to face a smear campaign that involved Republican and former Beverly Hillbillies co-star Buddy Ebsen.

Women and children have no voice, because God endowed man with the strength, wisdom and leadership to be the sole helmsman.

By keeping the wife and kids in their place, the man projects his strength so his wife will swoon in rapture and his kids will be hetero.

Look, there are physiological differences between male and female in our species. Men and women have been socialized stressing different personality traits and roles. All of that however, exists within overlapping distributions within and across the various cultures and societies.

Hawley, I am sure, knows absolutely NOTHING about what is "masculine" and how the founders thought about anything. The Republic depends upon ALL people to have a good knowledge about what makes government effective, what it means to be a good citizen, and how to choose effective representatives and advocate for them to do the best by the largest amount of people, while respecting the rights of minority groups. None of that is particularly masculine or feminine.

The founders, who were almost exclusively male, seemed to think that traits associated with being male, were better for governance. Wow!! What a revelation! These same men, didn't think that the temperament of women was conducive to voting or governing.

Hawley just wishes he was back in Colonial times, except he'd be hauling ass from all manner of threats faced in that time period.
