3. 5.89 in central California. When gas goes up here it never ever goes down again.

8. It's suddenly dropped in Solano County

North Bay. It's kind of hovering around $5 now.

Costco was at $5.89 at peak with regular places being around $6.49.

Just in the last few days it seems to have sunk. Costco had been at around $5.40 the last two weeks, so it's quite a steep and sudden decline.

Note: Gas Buddy has the California average at $5.60 however.

Futures are up quite a bit in the past week and the oil expert says it's just a matter of time before the pump prices head the other way. I could swear a few of the local places went up already but I'm not certain.
