Where is Ali Velshi? I thought he was on vacation butf MSNBC has a Morning Joe Special on now. n/t

1. Maybe because he's on vacation.

That guy fills a lot of air time for his show and a lot of others. Not only that, he has gigs with at least three radio shows that I know of where he appears as an economist.

He leaves a big scheduling gap when he takes a time out. This also opens up time for specials that focus on current events that are becoming so big that they require special focus to understand. I don't watch the weekend shows so I never really notice except that Ali wasn't on the weekday shows where he regularly appears last week.

He most certainly deserves a big vacation, he puts in a good 70 hours a week from what I can tell, it's like he never sleeps.

He'll be back.

because MSNBC is making so many changes to their lineup. I searched the net for info but didn't find anything. I'll try to be patient and hope he'll be back soon.
