(23,083 posts)Very important to stay super very hydrated and to move around some. My nurse friend told me that fill up on soft foods, they had lots of liquid. She recommended cottage cheese, popsicles, ice cream, pudding, yogurt to go with the water and Gatoraid plus trying to walk 5 min. every hour or every other hour, walk as much as possible.
Are you on Plaxlovid? That seems to be a very good treatment.
Good luck!!

(666 posts)Cough, lots of phlegm and extreme fatigue. I took a Benadryl and went to bed for 9 hours. I woke up feeling good. I was vaxxed and boosted. Hope you get better soon.

(42,298 posts)They should. Hubby and I got COVID over Christmas, both of us vaxxed and single boosted at the time.
I had headcold symptoms, he had more mild flu-like. But we felt fine after a few days - except for lingering cough and fatigue which hung on for a bit longer.
Good luck!

(10,828 posts)The infection knocked him on his back for 4 days. He's incredibly healthy, strong and fit. He was double vaxxed but no boosters.
My husband and I have had the full retinue of shots. We managed to escape infection, this time at least.
Hope your experience remains mild. If so, you should be back on your feet quickly.
The vaccines are true lifesavers.

(68,539 posts)blood clots in my kidney and abdomen, covid pneumonia (still coughing), and A-fib...plus a heart murmur. My only symptom was a terrible pain in my left side (a blood clot in kidney). My daughter insisted that I go to the ER...thank God she did. I likely would have had a stroke or a bad heart attack had I not gone. I did have a mild heart attack after I arrived at the ER. I am recovering but it is rough...be careful.

(21,738 posts)An oximeter is useful. You can have trouble getting oxygenated without realizing it. If your oxygen levels drop, it's time to seek emergency care fast.

(31,513 posts)I just don't understand people. The simplest, most effective way to protect yourself and others, and they just can't be bothered.

(19,233 posts)Fully vaxxed and boosted like you.
The worst part for me was the headache. My God, it felt like my head was going to explode.
Then I had a lingering cough and shortness of breath for another 2 weeks.
