Go, Fetterman!!! Please look at the part where voters say Oz being from Jersey may not understand PA well enough to be its Senator...so much for Fetterman's trolling of Oz on Social media is not working. It is working.
"TOPLINE Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D) has opened an 11-percentage-point lead in Pennsylvania's open Senate race against Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Trump-endorsed TV show host turned Republican politician, according to one Fox News polla trend that appears to be driven in large part by a massive enthusiasm gap between the candidates' supporters
Some 47% of Pennsylvania voters intend to cast their vote for Fetterman, while 36% plan to vote for Oz, according to the poll, which surveyed 908 people from Friday to Tuesday.
Fetterman supporters strongly back their candidate, with the poll finding 68% are behind him "enthusiastically," but only 35% of Oz supporters say the same about the Republican.
Some 52% of voters also said they are "extremely" or "very" concerned that Oz, who spent decades living in New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania in 2020, is familiar enough with the state to effectively serve as one of its senators.
The Fox News poll found the largest lead for Fetterman of any major survey so farhe holds an 8.7 percentage point advantage over Oz in RealClearPolitics' polling average of the race."
Please note, the only recent poll is Fox showing 11 points...the others are from June.

(32,324 posts)why moderate Democrats were so worried about Fetterman? Democrats need to get behind Shapiro because a lot of dark money is flowing to Mastriano. Why they were worried about Fetterman and no mention of Shapiro is confusing.

(71,542 posts)I agree about Fetterman. I love the guy and he has proven he can get elected statewide...he took down a sitting Lieutenant Governor...Wolf and Fetterman won big in the governors race too. I am progressive. I want progressives where they can win...some don't realize that because I support moderates or even conservative Democrats if that is the only person who can win... But Fetterman is way better than Lamb...nothing wrong with Lamb but Fetterman is Progressive with a capital P! I am so excited. Now Tim Ryan is up in Ohio too...it would be so awesome if they both won!

(25,475 posts)That, apparently, was one vacation too many. Indeed, it was a move that greatly annoyed the National Republican Senatorial Committee,...
Even Trump is complaining about Oz to Sean Hannity, who coaxed him to endorse the TV doctor, saying that hes running a terrible campaign, even though Oz has some of the best political professionals TV money can buy, like Chris Hansen. No one can believe that he took a damn vacation at the end of June, after only coming back to the state on June 10, said a Republican strategist. He screwed up with that video that was from his New Jersey house instead of Pennsylvania house. Its really bad.

(71,542 posts)live in PA. I can call for GOTV because I know the state...I am in nearby Ohio too. I can tell you that Oz is a gift...the worst candidate the GOP could have picked...McCormick is considered 'corporate' and boring but he is pretty normal. Oz has dual citizenship with Turkey, served in the Turkish Army, and voted in Turkey in 2020. Mark my words, there are Republicans that will vote for Fetterman who think Oz is a national security risk. And the fact he is Muslim is bad for a Republican And as for Mastriano...there are GOP PA Party people that are supporting Shapiro and are actively campaigning against their own candidate! Trump did us a solid by picking Vance, Oz, and Mastriano. hehe.

(71,542 posts)average that was taken in July, the rest were from June. It is a Fox poll and I hate them, but their polls are pretty good usually. I believe Fetterman is going to win with these sorts of numbers so early. Also, Shapiro is going to win it seems... I thank God for that. Mastriano is Nazi.
Demsrule86
(71,542 posts)win for us...over in Freeperland they are worried but seem convinced that they will lose both PA and OH but win Nevada. I don't think they will win Nevada. Tim Ryan is up five points. We could expand the Senate. And we have Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin...now I worry he may be too progressive for today's Wisconsin but others whom I respect tell me he is not...so fingers crossed. That would be so wonderful to win all of them. This is not your father's midterm, we have a shot here. I really think that we are on the cusp of a breakthrough...I hope so anyway. Could I be wrong? Absolutely...but I hope I am right and will do what I can to win.

(4,677 posts)Democrat is on fire, has a motivated and enthusiastic voting base, ten point lead in the polling against a universally despised opponent...
And yet is stuck at 47%. Not even a simple majority.
The GOP base have been conditioned to lie to pollsters and literally everyone who isn't part of their alternate reality ecosystem.
But they will still vote. In droves.
Demsrule86
(71,542 posts)take them. I am sure Oz would too...and the important question that was answered is this Fetterman has been able to raise significant doubts as to Oz's suitability to represent PA in the Senate...he is from Jersey and doesn't understand PA...that that has destroyed his chances.
But I find it difficult to understand why you seem so vested in Oz having a chance...I don't think he has one personally. And from my calls, the fact that he is a Turkish citizen is not playing well either. He served in the Turkish army and voted in Turkey in 2020. He is also Muslim which would be fine for one of ours but not for a Republican.

(10,333 posts)Stop attacking good Democrats and go after the fucking fascist REPUBLICANS.
Stop trying to divide and conquer "the good guys" and go after the *actual* bad guys here.
After what has happened over the past few years and seen how little is accomplished by the left when it attacks its own, I do not see myself supporting any politician on the left that unfairly goes after another politician on the left. Win on your own merits, ideas, and policies and spend your time attacking your REPUBLICAN opponents.

(71,542 posts)He attacked the GOP during the primary. The other candidates including Lamb did attack Fetterman however. It was a primary and while I do not approve, I understand why it happens. Fetterman is the candidate so we need to all get behind him...I have attacked no one. This is about a good poll which for some unknown reason, some object to.
