Its hard to win seats in heavily gerrymandered districts.
It might be something our party should be proactive on.

If you just woke up because of Dobbs... you should quickly realize that "sending abortion back to the states" means that state legislatures are the front lines.

My family has done their part to save our Democracy. Three generations have served during wartime. WW I, WW II, and Vietnam.
Six of my high school classmate were killed in action in Vietnam.
GET OUT AND VOTE. PLEASE!!! don't let all who served and died down by not having the time to VOTE.
Vote in every election. Local, state, and national. They ALL count.

(7,643 posts)I was on a statewide Zoom for Democratic Party activists yesterday and multiple people matter-of-factly referred to not having enough volunteers to sustain the usual phone banking and canvassing programs. NOBODY chimed in to say we're okay in our county. I am reminded of the fashionable claim from a few years back that demographic change was going to deliver solid majorities. Roe is the new savior- we can just sit back and watch Roe do its magic.
