Imagine living a life in which greed and revenge are everything

Imagine for a moment, (as horrible as it is), being Donald Trump.

The only thing in the world that matters to you is you. You are both ignorant and stupid, but you aren't aware of it. Being loved by all and owning the whole world is your dream. Revenge against anyone and everyone who doesn't love you, or insults you, is absolutely necessary, and is an activity you greatly enjoy.

At this moment, you consider yourself to be the "King of the world in temporary exile." You know that you will once again occupy the White House. And then all who opposed you, anywhere in the world, will be made to pay. You're certain that the day will come when all of humanity will bow down before you.

I suppose the strongest way in which I can express my disgust of the Trump creature is that, if I'd had a choice, I'd rather have been born as a cockroach than as him.

*A line from the movie "Bull Durham." (And please don't discount the marvelous insight of that thought just because it happened to be spoken by Susan Sarandon's character in the film.)

people kissing his ass all day, but even though I have none of those things I'd much rather be me (or even some random wild animal, when it comes to that). Unlike TFG I have actual friends, people I love, people who love me, a cat who seems to at least like me, hobbies and pleasures that bring me joy and satisfaction, plus a nice garden and a lot of books. I'm not consumed with revenge fantasies, rage or envy, and although there are probably people who don't especially like me, I have no actual enemies and I'm not even slightly worried about being sued or prosecuted for anything. I'm not important, rich or famous and I've never been on tv, which is fine with me.

TFG, in contrast, is a man who seems to have no joy in his life. His only pleasure, if you can even call it that, comes from putting down anyone who opposes him, which his father apparently taught him is winning - and losing is completely unthinkable. He doesn't seem to enjoy music or art; he doesn't go to plays or concerts; he doesn't appreciate nature; he doesn't even like pets; he doesn't read anything but news items about himself; he has no real friends, just toadies and hangers-on; his wife doesn't seem to especially like him and all of his wives have been nothing but arm-candy for him (and he cheated on all of them); his relationships with his oldest children are weird, to say the least, and he seems to have none at all with the youngest; he has no hobbies other than golf, at which he cheats because he always has to win; and he's so absurdly vain that he is said to need two hours to do his hair and makeup. Everthing is superficial. He has to have the biggest, the best, the most expensive, the most ostentatious because he needs everyone to know that he's rich. His NYC apartment looks like Versailles redecorated by Saddam Hussein's pimp. He spends every waking hour fretting about the possibility that someone else might be richer, more powerful, more appreciated, more valued, and it drives him crazy. I can't imagine a more miserable existence. But in the process of trying to fill the bottomless black hole of his ego he is causing immeasurable damage, even killing people. So, yes, he's a sad, wretched specimen, but I can't bring myself to feel sorry for him except maybe in the Buddhist sense of compassion for all sentient beings.

And I'd definitely rather be me.

You've captured the essence of a being with no, whatever it is, we call a soul.

You're second paragraph, in which you so eloquently stated his emptiness, should be engraved on his headstone. It will be a message to those who write history books that, during the four years he resided in the White House, America did not have a president.

6. They say that psychopaths never experience true love

The psychopath, like TFG and Malania, who has no sense of guilt or sympathy, cannot feel love either.

It's weird that they can feel hate and anger though. They feel all the worse feelings and never get that most wonderful of feelings. And frequently they misconstrue a sense of ownership over their children, their spouses or their pets as love. But that's not love, it's more about their possession. They are more than willing to hurt their children, their spouses or their pets if they feel the need. A lot of abusers are psychopaths.

I almost feel sorry for them for not ever experiencing real love. Except that they are so hateful.

limited person.

Many have tried to tell the public this over the years...it's amazing and deflating that it hasn't become the first sentence preceding any media 'analysis' of what he says. 'We know Trump is a habitual liar with limited ability to reason beyond what is good for him in the moment, but let's take a dive into what he tweeted today....' as one of the many examples of providing important background.

8. These sociopaths and narcissists feel very good about themselves.

They think they are smarter and better than the rest of us.

They pity and disdain normal people, good people.

They think we are losers and suckers.

We deserve what we get. We are expendable. Just collateral damage in their quest for power and wealth.

The things we value, truth, love, morality, family, relationships, democracy mean nothing to them.

However they are never satisfied. Their quest for power and money is an addiction. Nothing is ever enough. Nothing ever fills up the hole in the soul.

And they hate getting caught or stopped in their crimes and wrong doing.

They are a political entity that is a threat to democracy, -- everywhere.

Banana republics don't have the power to take over, or destroy the world. American power is capable of just that. And, in the wrong hands, American power is a threat to life on the only planet we have.

We can see how Putin operates.

The name of the game is now power and wealth by any means possible.
The US, China and Russia facing off soon.

appoint true, competent diplomats to negotiate with foreign powers. This is what must come to be if we are to survive.

We all, China, Russia, the U.S., possess the nuclear power to destroy the world. I don't think that Putin, or the leaders of China want to rule over a post apocalyptic world composed of radioactive rubble. And I don't think Americans want that either (although I'm not that sure about some Republican would-be fuhrers.)

We've been here before: e.g. "The Bay of Pigs" confrontation.

At times I'm overly optimistic. So at this moment, I'm guessing/hoping that we'll make it through this very dangerous era.

17. Putin has been successful using fear to control the West.

He has been able to stop the West from a full blown entrance into the Ukraine War.

Soon, China will follow suit, it is building up a huge powerful military.
Has allies all over the world. And economic cards to play against the US.

When it comes right down to it, I don't know if they care about a post nuclear war world.
The elite will be safe in their bunkers and can find safe parts of the globe to live.

They certainly don't care about humanity or the planet.
Wealth and power are the only things they care about.
And yes we can see the RW nut jobs here in the US will burn everything down to get their way.

And at the same time we have climate change which itself will burn down parts of the planet.

Yes I hope you are right that we will somehow make it through this period.

Imagine being one of her kids? The guy who raped and beat her, who publicly humiliated her for years with cheating, who destroyed her in the press while he cheated on her. Who made her beg for money in the divorce. That guy had control over where she was buried? Why? They divorced 3 wives and decades ago.

And then you let him bury her in a crappy grave on his golf course with what has to be the cheapest headstone they make? Guarantee Trump buried her there so he can urinate on her grave before every round of golf he plays. Sick, and it shows how evil the children are too that they allowed him to do this with her body.
