We are about to find out. Lets look at the Republican scorecard.
Pissed off women, check.
Pissed off young people, check.
Pissed off veterans, check.
Pissed off seniors on Medicare, check.
I may be wrong, but I think this could be a problem for them in the upcoming elections.

(38,213 posts)They'll have to lose, and lose big, for multiple election cycles for an even already-suicided party's body to stop its headless chicken run. They have plenty of dark money to keep them in zombie mode until it's beyond obvious that they no longer have the chance to grab all the marbles.

(77,324 posts)... "international money people" aka "the Jews" were paying for a caravan of people from
central America in 2018 to invade Texas. Between that Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the
C-19 pandemic, the J-6 attack on the Capitol, and good only knows other mass shootings
Trump has blood all over him.

(32,390 posts)But, considering how stupid people are, the number of people who continue to support a dipshit who tried to overthrow the results of an election by whatever means he could, regardless of whether his efforts were legal or notwell, I wouldnt be surprised or anything some brain dead voters would do.
The majority of republicans, if voting in their own self interest, should vote for the democrats. Problem is they are so caught up in all their hateful biass they harbor, they cant see the forest for the trees. When the Orange Nazi insulted them saying he could shoot somebody on 5th ave, they would still vote for him. He left out, but was plainly saying, they were so stupid they would still vote for him.
That is the whole issue. They are so fucking stupid, they get conned day in and day out, by the Republican con men and women. The Republican congress and other elected officials dont GAF about the middle class of America, they are supported and financed by the hedge fund guys, big corporate entities, multi-millionaires, Billionaires etc and are anti anything that benefits the middle class. Just dumb fucks.

(2,634 posts)At this point, the GOP is the party of the scam. Scams work until enough people figure out that they are being conned, at which point, the scam collapses ... but only until people forget.
The right wing had four years to do real damage to the government (look how hard it's been to remove DeJoy, and the struggle we're now having with unqualified judges at every level, including the SC). The media is moving away from Trump, but that doesn't mean that they're becoming any friendlier to the Democrats, only that they see him as an old and increasingly irrelevant story (and even then he has far too much influence).
No, we're going to be fighting this battle for decades, I fear.

(1,884 posts)You are correct. This is just politics as usual and its a never ending struggle for our party against the republican party. eight years of President Obama culminated in what has been termed white lash to his successful decent presidency. This was the perfect opportunity for a would be megalomaniac totalitarian dictator to ride to the rescue leading all these dumb bastards down that awful pike that he did. Fortunately our savior president Joe Biden got elected and hes been able to put a stop to these SOBs from the other side, for now.

(6,956 posts)pissed off everybody that doesn't like to see constitutional "rights" taken away because some religious fanatic justices prefer 14th century religious doctrine, instead of THE ESTABLISHED RULE OF LAW.
not to mention those that LIED during their confirmation hearings. I like SC justices that don't lie and use personal religious beliefs to make legal decisions, instead of established legal precedents.
