WHTM) A new Pennsylvania Senate Race poll shows Democrat John Fetterman holding a double-digit lead over Republican Mehmet Oz.
The poll was conducted by Momentive/SurveyMonkey for Center Street PAC, a nonpartisan political action committee focused on promoting rational governance and combatting extremism.
Of the 1,206 voters recorded for the poll between July 29 and August 1, Fetterman received 47% to Ozs 30% with 23% undecided, a 17% gap between Fetterman and Oz.
Ozs support grew to 38% among likely voters, however, Fettermans support also grew among likely voters to 52%.

(71,542 posts)Of course, Casey's Dad was a popular governor in PA so I don't know. I think Fetterman might win at least by the Casey-Santorum margin: maybe more in the end. I don't know.

(7,762 posts)Ryan and Fetterman hold double-digit leads over their better known rivals and Warnock leads the dysfunctional football star.

(71,542 posts)I am so pleased about Ryan...I figured he had the best chance but it is Ohio after all...I like Tim Ryan a great deal and worked with him before so I am thrilled. I knew Fetterman was going to do well. I mean he beat a sitting Lieutenant governor and He and Wolf ran an amazing campaign. But both have exceeded my expectations.
As for Warnock, he is a great Senator and Walker is a monster. I saw a commercial with one of his ex's and the abuse she endured was just awful. But Trump saw a Black football guy, he is such a racist that he didn't care about anything else.

(53,214 posts)Keep up those brilliant ads Fetterman, as voters often have very short memories. 23% undecided? Seriously? Who are you people?

(12,531 posts)claim they can win the Senate without PA, that there are other routes to victory.
LOL
I think it's pretty clear that the GOP did not anticipate so many fires to put out, be it Pennsylvania, Ohio and dare we mention Florida. Then there's Georgia where the Republican candidate is unable to even articulate his positions vs one of the most eloquent Democratic senators, Senator Warnock.
Yeah, the GOP is beginning to sweat. The Oz campaign has started their TV ad blitz, moved it from a September start to this week because they've lost so much ground. Tim Ryan is running a terrific campaign knocking Vance on his heels. The polling news yesterday for Val Demings in the Florida race was just more good news.
Ninety days to go. Not too shabby!

(12,531 posts)Not only do we have great candidates but the argument Republicans expected to make are starting to fizzle--gas prices and inflation markers. Add that to the rout we saw in Kansas on abortion, the unexpected job numbers and the inflation reduction bill passage?
We're on a definite roll. You can feel the enthusiasm mounting.
I haven't been following Beasley's race but I know Cortez Mastro (though close, between 3-6 pts depending on the poll) is expected to pull it out. I've even been hearing wails about how profoundly unpopular Ron Johnson is in Wisconsin. And that recent poll in Florida? Stunning. Made me happy, too, bc I really like Val Demings.
Still 90 days out but we have a genuine shot here.

(3,748 posts)I know the media likes to talk incessantly about how well the republicans are doing, but tv ratings are not gonna win them elections. I think it will be a much more uphill battle than they are anticipating.
