Will the pollsters be called out for consistently stating that it's 50-50

or 47-47 all the way to Election Day and the actual results are so lopsided like 87-12? Or the media for relying on these disingenuous pollsters and not contracting their own polls?

Where is 87-12 coming from? former9thward Nov 2012 #4
82-12 is probably Nate Silver's latest odds of electoral college victory for Obama at 538.com spooky3 Nov 2012 #6
Silver's current popular vote projection is Obama 50.6% Romney 48.4%. former9thward Nov 2012 #7

But the poster is still wrong. The OP was referring to POLLS being 50/50 and how that was off because of the "87-12". The POLLs refer to the POPULAR VOTE not the Electoral College. What Silver projects in the POPULAR vote is very close to the polls which say the election is very close. The poster is comparing apples and oranges and getting pissed off about it. GET IT???

Bain and Sterling own most of the polling companies. Pay attention to the real world, get off the game boy and read what the hell is out there please. Got a feeling this race is so lopsided and like I said before,it's all about the bottom line for the media companies. Fake polls with fake numbers. 538 looks like the real thing at this time, but, watch for some really shitty stuff in Ohio. Sounds like both campaigns have Lawyers on the ground. Jim Baker, the guy who got George the idiot, elected is supposed to be on his way to Columbus.

Very interesting.
