(29,731 posts)he could have successfully ended his life grifting to the end.
He brought way too much attention to himself by overreaching.
It really does suck to be him. I'd feel sorry for him, if he hadn't dried up all my milk of human-kindness....

(6,115 posts)You're absolutely right. If he stayed a small time criminal he might have been able to grift until he died.
But if you hire a criminal, guess what? They're gonna commit crimes. And this time the whole world is watching every single one of them. He brought exposure to himself.
I love the smell of schadenfreude.
and people would still think his wife is highly educated and multilingual

(4,700 posts)trying to shame people for their looks (especially women), I have to say that he looks fucking ridiculous. . . What a hog, and that hair is just one long, bleached strand that he wraps around his head.

(9,298 posts)when he first starting to run for President that one of his adult children would talk him out of it. If this operations occurring in Trump world, is any indication, its happening exactly how it should.
I never really knew how much of a psychopath he was
.then.

(15,675 posts)On cons and famous con-men - the kind where they actually rent a storefront, furnish it, set up a fake business, etc. and everyone in it - other employees and customers - is part of it except for the mark, etc. They all tend to know each other, and when they get together they tell old stories, and the amount of money they scammed out of people always goes up with each telling, but in reality, they're smart enough to stay in their lane, stick with the cons they know, etc. Trump thought he was smarter than everyone - that he just intuitively got everything - and thought he could take a quantum leap out of his normal surroundings, and it worked for a while. He just refused to acknowledge that he should have got out when he lost, but his ego wouldn't let him.

(7,794 posts)It was just that too many didn't realize it. He lost because by presuming to play at being president he made himself impossible to ignore. He had to be stopped, to be made an example for future would-be politicians who fly too close to the sun, scoffing at the reality that is the American dream.. It was always impossible that he would succeed. The boy was just born to lose because he was/is flawed.
