but the Guthrie version is a more catchy tune, IMO for singing with and remembering. Also, the scenes in Guthrie's version allow us to include today's Russians among the fascist promoters in the US.
Plus, I love the message on Woody's guitar, "This machine kills fascists." The power of song to influence people.
