(11,203 posts)Otherwise the warrant itself would divulge too much information and possibly put our country at risk.

(46,227 posts)And to the extent the warrant lists items not found, he will emphasize that in an attempt to discredit the search.
Mr.Bill
(24,906 posts)he hasn't read it.

(7,715 posts)Is trump threatening to release the underlying documents? Or is he saying he will not oppose the DoJ's petition to unseal.
These are CLEARLY two different things.
Where are you getting that he specifically said he would favor release of the warrant and inventory? That's not contained in his "TruthSocial" or whatever it's called.

(96,882 posts)He's not saying he'll release them; he's saying he won't oppose DOJ releasing them.
MerryHolidays
(7,715 posts)the warrant and the inventory. He is specifically saying he is ok with releasing the "documents". Haberman is saying what you're saying.
They are not the same thing. He is saying that he is ok with releasing the documents, which may reveal seriously classified information.
Please carefully read the tweet(s).

(3,102 posts)doc laying out the reasons for probable cause, which would be much more enlightening. I hope he means it.
Not sure if that was your point, but it is my point.
onenote
(46,227 posts)Not the underlying documents. The DOJ motion repeatedly refers to the search warrant and inventory as "documents" and Trump is referring to the same items when he refers to the "documents" whose release he won't oppose.
onenote
(46,227 posts)Not sure why you think Trump's reference to "documents" is clearly referring to anything other than the same items that the motion describes as the relevant "documents."

(115,620 posts)The post says nothing about releasing any classified documents related to nuclear energy or the inventory that was taken from his home.
Attempting to be clever, it says he supports the release of documents "related" to the raid on his home by the "Un-American Democrats" and drawn up by them.
Sounds like something Stephen Miller would write?

(7,715 posts)Haberman is saying he is fine with releasing the warrant and inventory.
Trump's text that you cite says Trump is ok with releasing the underlying documents that were seized. Releasing these documents could reveal classified information.
AFAIK, these are two separate issues.

(115,620 posts)I saw nothing about "related" to classified documents or the inventory that was seized? I saw an attack on the Democrats and his political opponents.
