What nuclear information and who might be interested? So many questions . . .
From this morning's shows I've gathered that the secrets were not technical in nature. It's highly unlikely these would be in Trump's possession (he'd never have had the need for them and wouldn't understand them anyway so they'd never be sent to him). On CNN one commentator said these could even be about the nuclear secrets of a foreign nation like Israel or perhaps what we have learned about the secrets of an advisory.
Why would he have them? Why would he fight to keep them, ignoring subpeonas &c.?
To monetize them? A commentator (Mark Nichols?) on MSNBC thinks this is unlikely, but except for blackmailing the US, few other possibilities make sense.
Many, perhaps most, nations would love to have these secrets and would pay a high price for such material. But if Trump were shopping these around, who would be the most likely customers? Russia and Saudi Arabia come readily to mind, the latter especially if these were Israeli secrets.
Another huge question: Since these are 19 months old and are not technical in nature were they outdated once we realize they've been compromised since operations would have immediately been changed. But were they outdated two or three months ago?
So many questions . . .
