... most times it's someone informing about the vote of someone else. Who are these people?

they are allowed to do proxy vote. I think the only time that should be allowed is if the person is sick, has a close relative that is sick or death in family. Just my opinion.

Not so in the Senate, however.

(9,353 posts)The House is still in a designated Covid period. It had to be re-upped every 45 days by the Attending Physician and the Sergeant at Arms. The House Rules Committee came up with a process to keep the House running during Covid.
