And can get to 270 without Ohio and probably Florida. Both are sounding like total messes. I think he will get there without them. I also think he will not allow this election to be stolen without a hell of a fight. Nervous, but cautiously optimistic.

(20,776 posts)till well after the votes are in... This may end up being a real freaking battle.

(7,822 posts)But even with the valid reasons for concern, I'm feeling pretty calm and confident about Tuesday. I just have this gut feeling Obama's on top of this. I am positive if people's votes are counted, he'll win. And I don't think he'll let this be stolen without one heck of a fight.

(20,776 posts)IF this election is stolen, there is going to be a battle for it.. its not going to be a concession speech like Al Gore, or John Kerry. This may end up being the biggest battle between Republicans and Democrats ever.. if there is proof of tampering. And damn it, some of these bastards should get the book thrown at them.. with penalties being strict, harsh and expensive.

(34,857 posts)People need to step back and calm down. The same stuff we're hearing today we heard four years ago. If Obama's poll numbers are correct in Ohio, he'll win the state by nearly 300,000 votes. It's not easy to steal 300,000 votes ... it really isn't.

(34,857 posts)He's not the one who counts the ballots. He's not in some office shredding votes. Just as long as the margin is above 100,000, Obama shouldn't worry.

(5,462 posts)So tired of this Jon Husted crap . . . folks, Drunken Irishman is right. "Provisional ballot" antics and other issues aren't going to decide a state where Obama leads by about 4-5 points (and maybe more). Husted can try anything he wants, and I'm sure he will, but they're NOT going to able to steal it unless it's close. And there's NOTHING that suggests that it will be.

(7,160 posts)The coordination of President Obama's grassroots volunteers has been an enormous success We have been doing GOTV since Oct. 2 here and most people I know have already voted. I canvassed and people I talked were voting early or had. The older people seemed reluctant to early vote but early voting was by far the choice of most people I spoke with.

. . . but it won't even get to that point. If Willard thought Ohio was winnable, he'd be camped out there nonstop, not making fool's errands like going to Pennsylvania on Sunday.

(5,462 posts)He simply isn't. There's NO polling evidence to suggest it. And we've all seen how easy it is for the right wing to manipulate polls. But even they couldn't manufacture a lead for Mittbot in Wisconsin.
Now, guess what? Everything in the above sentence also applies to Ohio.
This is over.
