(13,583 posts)Of course, SC is run by Republicans so maybe some votes were found for Lindsey.
If inflation keeps declining and the FED doesnt send us into a recession, the economy wont be a big issue. Reproductive rights will be big in many states, along with the ongoing saga of the Trump circus, especially if he is indicted for one or more of his many crimes.

(13,003 posts)that the whole Georgia thing was over emphasized to distract the government from looking into three particular races in three other states that the voting could not hold up to investigation:
Kentucky, S. Carolina, and Maine in particular. I think they were all neck and neck races, but when the votes were "counted" all three Repub Senators won by a substantial amount. I am convinced that Putin/NRA/Republican Party had their hands in more than just the Presidential election for good reason........
I think that at least one of those states, if not all, STILL uses the proven corruptible Diebold machines that during 2000 and 2004 were proven to be able to be re-programmed by any third grader and make them spit out whatever was programmed into them, not the actual votes.

Take theirs.
If Republicans want to make sure theyre out of a job, then voting to gut Social Security and Medicare will be a big step forward.

(18,373 posts)I hope they find that out after November and they lose. However, the aftermath will be what worries most ALL Americans who love our country, when every race is contested, fought in Court for months, and never conceding.

(13,003 posts)I would think that regardless of which side wins the 2022 elections in the House and Senate, the Trumphumpers will be responsible for all hell literally breaking loose.
If the Republicans, by hook or crook, take the house and/or Senate, they will feel they have won and do a J6 on every state capitol building in every state, or especially the same if the Dems get the house and senate.......
I do hope I am wrong, but the way things are shaping up, more and more everyday, I still think that to be more than a possibility

(133,366 posts)force today's seniors, who were the generation to leave a lot of wealth to their children, well they'll have to go into savings if they have any. If not then they'll have to borrow from their kids to survive. This is about the GOP wanting 'snow walkers'. Snow Walkers is a Farley Mowatt story about an elderly arctic inuit who walk away from their home one winter night and perish so they do not use up the resources of the younger generation. The ultimate sacrifice. The GOP sure are focused on the bad fare of the aged in the USA. But it will sap the younger middle class too. People should know that. It is a money and power grab some more.
