One of my favorite things is the way they use the word "piss" (Like "Don't take the piss" meaning, in this case, "Don't make me angry." or in another, "Are you taking the piss ?" meaning are you crazy/trying to fool me/wanna step outside ? But then there's "Oh yeah, we were all pissed." as in we were all drunk.) but they use it like we use the word sh*t. ANY NUMBER of applications.

We once made a game of taking a shot (Glenmorangie), while watching a Guy Ritchie movie, of everytime one of the actors used the word piss. We were "pissed" off our heads in no time.

In the United States, when you combine 'take' with 'piss' it means urinate. "I need to take a piss." "He's taking a piss'"

To mean angry we combine 'piss' with 'off.' "Are you trying to piss me off?" "I was so pissed off!"

We also have 'pissy' which means grouchy, bitchy. "Don't be pissy about it."

Although there are tons of words for drunk, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they were pissed. As a matter of fact, if someone said, "We were pissed!" I would assume that they meant they were really angry.

She takes so long and pauses between the parts of the question so the interviewee will start answering but she is still formulating her question so she interrupts the interviewee.
I see this happen often.

I don't know WHY she is still on NBC. She drags on, she fumbles, she stumbles over her own words. She asks some of the stupidest questions ever for a woman who has been around as long as she has. Sometimes she looks like she just woke up and realized she was on the air. There's a place in my middle ear that just goes batshit whenever her voice carries through the speakers.

NBC needs to listen to its audience. PUT HER OUT TO PASTURE. PLEASE. There is so much talent waiting in the wings, just bursting to take center stage. Young, intelligent, dynamic folks who are ready.

Until I see him in handcuffs I’m going to go with nothing happening. It will make it much sweeter if he does get indicted.
