Other than that, great tweets. And, of course, they got the name of the store correct.

I don't refer to it as crudites, which I take to mean raw vegetables.

I also don't dip it in salsa or guacamole.

still mostly raw, slightly tender but doesn't droop suggestively when a group of people on their second drinks are waving it around as they talk. Our single favorite way to eat it -- as a crudite, 3 syllables. No endorsement of this creep.

What flavorings do you put in your pickling mix? The only thing I've done is added some spears to the space opening up in a jar of salt-fermented mustard greens. I recall we enjoyed them, but maybe a Caesar would have made them a must-have.

in Canada that grows asparagus and pickers would lay down on a moving platform and harvest by using the knife to cut and pick as they pass over.

bag of carrots 5lb bag? My husband buys large bags of carrots at the store for $2. $2 for broccoli sounds about right. Would never use asparagus on crudité plate. Guacamole-make it yourself. It’s cheaper.

That tomato harvester is working so fast because part of his compensation is piece work. One he fills those baskets he will literally run to the truck where his tomatoes are assessed and packed, then he’ll run back to his row

I live in strawberry country and watch this high speed field work going on all the time.

Oh, and you know why they wear hoodies and scarves even on sweltering days? Pesticides and fertilizers sprayed on the crops.

Brutal and backbreaking doesn’t begin to describe it.
