Gonna be a big ole housecleaning over at FOX. GOP is gonna try and remake itself without the semblance of these grey faced octogenarians. I'm going ot the store and get me a case of popcorn cause the show is gonna be better than anything Broadway can produce.

It looks like Grover Norquist is losing his grip.

Limbaugh isn't the factor he once was.

There is no obvious candidate for the GOP to unite around. Surely none of those dumbasses that ran this year will have any pull.

But Roger Ailes still has his franchise. I don't see who he would do a big house cleaning. H really can't afford to precipitate a civil war in the party because that would seem to divide his audience. I think he's going to try to keep alive the confederation of religious wacko, science haters, scared old white people, plain old racists, and people who believe they will one day be as rich as Joe the Plumber.

I predict Jeb Bush in 2016 for the GOP.

But I think there is a real demographic problem the GOP will have to confront. A party of scared old white men isn't going to work much longer for them. Jeb Bush would be young enough to run in 2016, but I am not sure the country will go back a generation. Obama represented a turning over of the reins to the next generation after the boomers.

Having said that, Jeb Bush is a lot smarter than Romney and a lot less repulsive as a human being. With enough money, I think Rove could get him elected.

But back to the premise of this thread, if the GOP candidate were either Job Bush or Chris Christie, I don't see that Faux would change much of anything.

If they try, the old boy's club isn't going to hand over power gracefully: They're going to try to take as many people down with them as they possibly can.

that said. it seems likely the "good old boys" have destroyed their franchise through ignorance of capitalism. We're probably watching the initial foreclosure process.

But this time, he was given a giant pile of money and told to just win. And these are serious dudes who bankrolled him. He loses, and it might be the "stench" of the loser that sticks to him. Who's going to give this guy $200 mill again if he can't deliver results at the most crucial moments?
