Yes, yes
I know I dont have to watch cable TV, or Morning Joe, or do anything, or get up, or go to the bathroom, in fact I dont have to do anything, but I do choose to do so.
The above captioned individual prefaces every Democratic positive with a litany of Democrats in disarray Sentences, ostensibly as background to his reporting of the (frankly) Democratic win. It is fairly fascinating that he is banking on the sales of his book which is an expose of the undermining of the very underpinnings of democracy itself by the Trump administration and its fearless leader, and then pulls this stuff out of his ass every time he is forced to concede that a Democrat has done something right, or that a bill has been passed in the Democratic Congress which will change American lives substantially for the better, or whatever.
Im going to describe this in terms of his beloved Boston Red Sox: now suppose network coverage at the exact moment of the World Series victory ending decades upon decades of frustration were phrased as the following: A chopper back to the pitcher who underhands to the first baseman and thus, after decades and decades of frustrations including dropped balls, flubbed defensive plays, significant injuries during the pennant drive, bad managerial decisions, trading of players who went on to become All-Stars in Hall of Fame candidates, losing year after year after year after year after year and depressing its fans beyond belief, all of them hoping for just one divine break in the clouds, having watched the mood of a city deteriorate into the depths of depression and sadness over and over and over again, the Red Sox win the World Series. Well be back after this word from our sponsor.
This is how Lemire describes every plus for Democrats. To be fair, he should begin every Republican discussion by alluding to Reagans dementia while in office, Bush Srs Iran-Contra connections, Bush Jrs AWOL status and fake WMDs
you get the point.
I wouldnt be so critical if he didnt do this every frigging time. Gets on my last nerve in case you hadnt noticed
And Im in a foul mood today besides
.🤬🤯😡

(9,971 posts)Who do you believe? was the question Lemire asked Trump, referring to the US Intelligence services or Putin. Trump chose Putin, thus causing a media uproar, and Lemire gained sudden fame. He is not my cup of tea, and I think hes a good example of the Peter Principle in action.

(14,876 posts)Lemire is the reporter at Helsinki who asked Putin if Russia wanted Trump to win in 2016. Putin said, Da, and explained why. That was edited out of Trump WH transcript.
Lemire also asked Drumpf if he believed US Intel or Putin about election interference.
Who do you believe, Mr. President, Russia or your own intelligence agencies?

Trump further grumbled about the tough question he was asked by Jonathan Lemire ... wondering why that reporter had been called on rather than someone who might have asked an easier question. The Washington Post, July 21, 2018

It was a good question Lemire asked
.he should have continued in that vein and stopped being Chuck Todd Jr.

(17,984 posts)Trump so angry he tried to get him thrown out of the Press room.
Reminds me of Helen Thomas when she made Bush so angry he put her out of the front row. Obama put her back and brought her a Birthday cup cake, sat down beside her.
All good examples of how Democratic and Republicans treat the Press.
Of course there was the case when Biden called Doucey a, stupid SOB, under his breath when Peter asked a dumb question!

(2,254 posts)Manchin and Sinema had their agendas and the progressives, theirs. I thought all along, the progressives were trying to get too much, too soon but Jayapal wouldn't back off and Joe apparently didn't try to get her moderate a little. 75% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
And the 'messaging' has been inadequate. Joe and the Dems have done a lot of good things but most people are bitching about gas prices, Joe's poll numbers are horrible and too many people still think Trump won.
But at least, MSNBC tells both sides of a story...all Fox does is tell viewers what they want them to hear.
The true issue IMO is that Democrats are civil and Republicans are 'win at any cost' driven.
The Democratic party needs to fund Lincoln Project to saturate the airways with anti-Trump, anti-fascist commercials.

He became famous for asking Trump that important question at the Helsinki press conference (and kudos to him for asking it) but thats the only reason hes on these shows. Hes bland and totally uninteresting.
