after all, he did sign the search and seizure warrant for Mara-A-Lago.

I seriously doubt he'll unseal the affidavit for the search warrant.

He is a Federal Magistrate Judge, so he was appointed by the Chief Federal Judge of the Southern District of Florida. In short, unlike Federal Judges who are nominated by the President, Magistrate Judges are one rung below and are not Presidential nominees.

Federal Magistrate Judges are not appointed by the President or confirmed by the Senate, they do not have lifetime appointment.

Magistrate judges are appointed by a majority vote of the federal district judges of a particular district and serve terms of eight years if full-time, or four years if part-time.

MAGARATS want to see the affidavit is so they can get as much info about what DOJ knows and those people named. Then they can better devise coverups, destroy evidence and fabricate their stories. It may also reveal sources and methods used to gather the evidence outlined in the affidavit. Some very aggressive tactics will then be used to discredit the sources/methods and to threaten the safety of those sources as we have seen this scum do to the FBI agents and their families.

A disinformation diversion from the puke circus. Of course our Media went with it anyway.

Trump, and whoever is advising him, knew that the request to release the affidavit would be denied. To get it denied, DOJ had to respond in court. From the DOJ response, Trump now knows how broad and deep the investigations of him are, that there are more witnesses and informants than one, and that the investigations are for criminal charges and not just to recover the stolen documents. They also know now some of the possible charges that might be filed against him.

It's the media formally asking for it to be released. Trump's attorneys did not file a motion for it to be released, nor did they file an objection.
