However, I think there will be some that complain that "he's saluting the Marines with his left hand. For shame!" or something along those lines. I'd like to point out that the video is reversed - or the Marine in the video is purposely wearing his ribbons and medals on the wrong side of his uniform (bloody unlikely) and is also saluting with his left hand (there's no way that would happen).

I've noticed this a lot in photos and videos these days. How does that happen?

Videos taken with smartphones' front-facing cameras are often reversed. The phones intentionally reverse the image so selfies aren't disorienting (because with a selfie, you expect things to look like they do in a mirror... which is backwards). "It's a feature, not a bug."
