So I ordered eight new test kits for Covid

from the USPS website I saw on this forum. I ordered them on Wednesday and they arrived here today. (Yay, USPS?)

The use before date on them is four days ago.

Are the use before dates all that serious? All of my other ones I had were expired, which is why I ordered these.

have been extended.

I got a bunch of tests from my work and all of the expiry dates have been extended for 3 months.

2. You should check all your test kits online, including the ones you were trying to replace,

because all the kits have been extended from the original three months they were approved for.

I did some Googling and indeed the dates have been extended. On my particular brand they were extended around six months or so.

8. I don't know if they are still doing it,

but a few months ago I was at CVS and they gave me either four or eight kits when I asked for them at the register. No charge.

9. I got 3 of my masks from them

but they never had the tests everything I asked. They always had some excuse.

I get as much for free as I can and this helps. I had no idea how expensive the tests are until my sister just came back from France with it and she wore a mask while indoors everywhere and on the plane. She had to postpone my birthday celebration since we didn't want to I felt our 88 year old mother. We have all been super good about masking and distancing too. She is the only family member that has had Covid.

If you ordered them everytime they announced a new distribution, you have already gotten 16. The last new distribution was in May.

I got the 8, now I'll have 16. My sister just asked why I need so many. I figure that this crap will be with us for a while and since they are delivered for FREE to your home there's no excuse for not having any on hand at all times. They should be in everyone's personal medical supplies.

14. Agreed. I've got 8 sitting on my piano.

We used 8 when we had COVID in early July.

The next expiration date is in October. We used all of the ones expiring in August by the middle of July.

15. yeah...seems the batch they have expire in July / august. I have a bunch. tested myself twice

in one day just to use them up. lol

18. August was the expiration date for the ones I received

as part of the May release (the current release).
