conservative towns, though not in KY. (If I'd known, we'd never have left West Hollywood, where we went twice to see Lenny Bruce make fun of obscenities. We were young ). Although I can't guess how many of our con friends would not find that degree of political hostility repellent today, it's still and always amazing to me how many would find the language genuinely offensive and a huge signal that he was unfit to associate with, even by those without children.
