Holding the House and Senate is a Herculean task.

But if the Democrats defy the mid-term jinx it would be the deathknell for MAGA. Even holding the Senate would would set the MAGAS back on their heels.

1. The only way the good Republicans can save their party is by voting for Democrats

I don’t think they have accepted the fact that these people need to be soundly defeated at the polls several times. And they can’t do that by voting third-party and being all wishy-washy about it. People like Liz Cheney and Christie Todd Whitman need to get out and actively campaign for Democrats appearing on stage with them. I’m sure the bad guys just love this whole third-party bullshit

3. There is a never ending debate if TFG was an aberration or the apotheosis of Republican politics.

I'm in the middle of both camps. TFG is the first president in my lifetime who didn't even pay lip service to small l, small d liberal democratic values

“We now have a presidency where the president has delivered the largest economic recovery plan since Roosevelt, the largest infrastructure plan since Eisenhower, the most judges confirmed since Kennedy, the second largest health care bill since Johnson, and the largest climate change bill in history. … The first time we’ve done gun control since President Clinton was here, the first time ever an African American woman has been put on the U.S. Supreme Court. … I think it’s a record to take to the American people.”

— White House chief of staff Ron Klein, in an interview with Politico.

4. really frustrating how undemocratic our system has become.

it was never perfect, but it had been improving, if slowly.

as of now, democrats win the "generic ballot" -- more people prefer democrats to win congress -- yet we're only 22-24% likely to win the house (22% according to 538, 24% according to predictit).

never mind that we should be winning in a landslide given how horrible, inept, corrupt, and disastrous the republican party has become.

it's infuriating that the house race isn't even close. it makes no sense that we're a longshot to win the house, yet here we are.

gerrymandering and other factors have made far too few house races competitive. and this is the part of our federal government the founders wanted to be most responsive to the people.
